The fifth and final Youth One Day International between Australia and New Zealand will be played tomorrow at Peter Burge Oval, Brisbane. The hosts Australia have taken an unassailable lead by 2-0 in the series with one game to go as first two ODIs got abandoned due to rain.
After the first two games ended in a no result, Australia secured 9 runs win in the third game to take a 1-0 lead and doubled it further with 7 wickets win in the fourth ODI.
Opting bat first, New Zealand folded up at 191 runs in 44.3 overs, courtesy skipper Rhys Mariu's 100 of 122 deliveries. Barring R Mariu, O White (33) and wicketkeeper batter Ben Pomare (15), nobody else managed to score in double digits. With three wickets each, James Pike and Todd Murphy were the key bowlers for Australia. In reply, the hosts run chase was powered by Max Clayton's 92 of 108 balls and skipper Mackenzie Harvey's unbeaten 54 of 77 deliveries.
Australia will look to clean sweep the visitors with another win in the final fixture.
