If we talk about IPL 2019, Mumbai Indians maintained a strong hold over Chennai Super Kings right through the season. MI played their key match-ups brilliantly and beat CSK on all 4 occasion including the knock-outs to conquer the trophy.

Although they struggled all the way through but managed to put 149 runs on the board mainly because of Kieron Pollard`s quick-fire 41 in the end. In the chase, only Shane Watson fought single-handedly but CSK fell short by just one run in a nail-biting climax. Lasith Malinga was the hero for MI with a superb last over with the ball.

Mumbai Indians’ batting lineup is their strongest forte and main reason behind their success in the recent years. Lasith Malinga is one of the all-time great players for Mumbai Indians if not the greatest. He has performed many roles over the years for the franchise.
